RETURNS POLICY
Returns Policy
Last updated: 09 September 2026
At Apex Performance Supply, we want you to be confident when purchasing from us. We understand that occasionally an item may need to be returned, exchanged or assessed.
This Returns Policy explains the conditions that apply to change-of-mind returns, incorrect orders, shortages, damaged goods and faulty products purchased from apexps.au or directly from Apex Performance Supply.
CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS
If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind or ordered the incorrect product, we may offer a refund, exchange or store credit, provided that:
- The return is requested within 30 days of purchase.
- You provide your original receipt, invoice, order confirmation or other acceptable proof of purchase.
- The item is in new and resaleable condition.
- The item has not been fitted, installed, used, modified, damaged or marked.
- The item is returned in its original packaging, including all instructions, fittings, hardware, accessories and other components originally supplied.
- The packaging is in a condition suitable for resale.
- The return has been approved by Apex Performance Supply before the goods are sent back.
- Any applicable return or restocking fee is paid.
A restocking fee of up to 15% of the purchase price may apply to change-of-mind returns.
If these requirements are not satisfied, Apex Performance Supply reserves the right to refuse the return, exchange, refund or store credit, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
RETURN AUTHORISATION
Please contact Apex Performance Supply before returning any goods.
Returns sent to us without prior approval may be refused or may experience delays in processing.
When requesting a return, please provide:
- Your name
- Order or invoice number
- Product SKU or description
- Reason for the return
- Photographs where relevant
- Any other information requested by us to assess the return
Approval for a return does not automatically mean that a refund or credit has been approved. Returned goods must first be received and inspected.
CONDITION OF RETURNED GOODS
Products returned for refund, exchange or store credit must not have been:
- Installed or fitted
- Used or operated
- Modified or altered
- Cut, drilled, welded, painted or otherwise changed
- Damaged during installation or attempted installation
- Contaminated by fuel, oil, coolant, brake fluid or other substances
- Returned with missing components
- Returned in damaged or incomplete packaging
Products that do not meet these requirements may be refused and returned to you at your cost.
Please check product suitability, specifications, measurements, thread sizes, fittings and compatibility before installation.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, we do not generally accept change-of-mind returns for:
- Special-order products
- Products specially sourced or procured for you
- Supplier buy-in items
- Non-stock products
- Custom-made or customised products
- Products that have been modified at your request
- Clearance or specially discounted products where stated as non-returnable
- Individual components removed from package deals or kits
- Products that have been fitted, installed or used
- Products that are no longer in resaleable condition
Dropship and Supplier-Ordered Products
Some products sold by Apex Performance Supply may be supplied or shipped directly from one of our distributors or suppliers.
Where an item has been specifically ordered from a supplier to fulfil your order, supplier return conditions and restocking charges may also apply.
We recommend contacting us before ordering if you are unsure whether a product can be returned.
RETURN FREIGHT
Unless the product is faulty, incorrectly supplied by us or otherwise covered by your rights under Australian Consumer Law:
- Return freight is the responsibility of the customer.
- Returned goods must be sent freight prepaid.
- We recommend using a tracked and insured freight service.
- Apex Performance Supply is not responsible for returned goods lost or damaged while being transported back to us.
Original delivery or freight charges are generally not refundable for change-of-mind returns.
Where an item is approved for exchange, additional freight charges may apply for shipment of the replacement product.
INCORRECTLY ORDERED PRODUCTS
It is the customer’s responsibility to check that the product being ordered is suitable for the intended vehicle, application or purpose.
If you accidentally order the wrong item, we will do our best to assist you; however, this will generally be treated as a change-of-mind return and the conditions of this policy will apply.
This may include return freight and a restocking fee of up to 15%.
INCORRECT ITEMS SUPPLIED
f Apex Performance Supply has supplied an item different from the product shown on your order confirmation, please contact us as soon as possible.
Do not install or use the product.
Once confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate solution, which may include replacement of the product or return of the incorrect item at our cost.
SHORT SUPPLY OR MISSING ITEMS
Please inspect your order as soon as it is received.
Any claim relating to:
- Missing items
- Incorrect quantities
- Incorrect products
- Visible freight damage
should be reported to Apex Performance Supply within 7 days of receiving your order.
Where possible, please retain the original packaging and provide photographs of the parcel, packaging, shipping label and contents.
DAMAGED IN TRANSIT
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and preferably before using, fitting or disposing of the product or packaging.
We may require:
- Photographs of the damaged product
- Photographs of the external packaging
- Photographs of internal packaging
- The freight label
- Your order number
- Details of the damage
Please retain the product and packaging until we advise you otherwise, as the freight provider may require these items when assessing a claim.
FAULTY PRODUCTS AND WARRANTY CLAIMS
If you believe a product is faulty, please contact Apex Performance Supply before removing, modifying, repairing or returning the product where practical.
We may request information including:
- Proof of purchase
- Product details
- Vehicle or application details
- Description of the fault
- Photographs or video
- Installation information
- Testing or diagnostic information
Some warranty claims may need to be referred to the product manufacturer, distributor or supplier for assessment.
Do not return a suspected warranty item without first contacting us.
A manufacturer’s assessment may be required before a warranty claim can be approved.
PRODUCTS DAMAGED BY INSTALLATION OR MISUSE
Warranty or return claims may be refused where a product has been damaged due to circumstances including:
- Incorrect installation
- Incorrect application
- Improper use
- Modification
- Abuse or misuse
- Accident or impact
- Failure to follow manufacturer instructions
- Use outside the manufacturer’s intended specifications
- Incompatible fuels, fluids or chemicals
- Normal wear and tear
This does not limit any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
REFUNDS
Once returned goods have been received and inspected, we will advise you of the outcome of the return.
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed back to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Please allow reasonable processing time for the refund to appear after it has been issued. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Any applicable restocking fees, freight charges or other agreed costs may be deducted from the refund.
STORE CREDIT
Where agreed, Apex Performance Supply may issue store credit instead of a refund.
Store credit may be subject to reasonable conditions advised at the time it is issued.
ACCOUNT CUSTOMERS
A request for a return, credit or warranty claim does not authorise a customer to deduct the value of the claim from an outstanding account payment.
Invoices must continue to be paid in accordance with the agreed payment terms unless Apex Performance Supply has issued a formal credit note or otherwise agreed in writing.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this Returns Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where a product has a major failure, you may be entitled to a replacement or refund and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Where a failure is minor, we may be entitled to choose an appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
The change-of-mind conditions, restocking fees and exclusions described in this policy do not override your statutory consumer rights in relation to faulty, unsafe, incorrectly described or otherwise non-compliant products.
